Senator Jessica Scarcella-Spanton's 2026 Back-to-School Giveaway

State Senator Jessica Scarcella-Spanton's 2026 Back-to-School Giveaway runs Wednesday, August 19, from noon to 3 p.m. at Tappen Park in Stapleton. The event is free and open to Staten Island families, and no registration is required to attend.

Families can receive free school supplies — backpacks, notebooks, pens, calculators and classroom essentials — along with additional items such as sneakers, jackets and hygiene products. Organizers expect to help more than 1,000 Staten Island students prepare for the start of the school year.
