Privacy Policy
How Canvas Institute collects, uses, and protects your information.
This policy is a working draft prepared for launch. Canvas Institute should have it reviewed by counsel and confirm the effective date before publication.
Information we collect
When you submit a booking request, contact form, volunteer application, or newsletter signup, we collect the information you provide — such as your name, email address, phone number, organization, and the details of your request. We do not sell personal information.
How we use it
Submitted information is used only to respond to your request, coordinate programs and volunteering, send updates you have opted into, and maintain accurate records of our work. Every form includes an explicit consent checkbox, and newsletter emails include an unsubscribe option.
How it is stored
Form submissions are stored in a secured database with access restricted to authorized Canvas Institute staff. We retain submissions only as long as needed for the purpose they were provided.
Children's privacy
Canvas Institute works with young people, and we take their privacy seriously. Our website forms are intended for adults and older students; student volunteers may be asked for a parent or guardian contact during onboarding. Photography of minors is published only with appropriate school and guardian permissions.
